Who am I?

I'm Chanel. I'm a creative, first and foremost. I know, I know - that's such a buzz word right now, but I am what I am.

Not so long ago I was Chanel, the creative and the Chemist. But "the Chemist" part of that title never truly fit. You know that one pair of shoes that's labeled as being your size but something about them just isn't right? Yea, that was being a chemist for me. Thanks to some unforeseen circumstances I got the opportunity to drop the "Chemist" and just become "the creative". Which leads me to where I am now.

Where am I now?

I'm currently in the midst of a course at General Assembly to become a UX Designer. It's only week 3, but I'm already enjoying it so much. Is it stressful? Sure. Is there a lot to cram into my head in a short period of time? Yes. Does I sometimes wonder if I'm absorbing it all? For sure.

But if "the Chemist" is the shoe that never quite fit, then "UX Designer" is the shoe that just might be the glass slipper.

Why this blog?

I'm no stranger to blogging. I already have a whole blog dedicated to my photography pursuits and creative inspiration, along (with a few shared life lessons thrown in every now & again). This, however, is my space to focus on all things UX Design. Over the coming weeks I'll be sharing what's going on in my class and anything else I find related to this topic.

I considered incorporating this into my already existing blog, but ultimately I decided this piece of my life deserves it's own special little space. So here we are.

I'm not sure where this blog will take me or what my expectations are from it... but let's do this.
